Hello! I’m Jessica.

I am a proud wife to my husband of 19 years, and mom to three amazing kiddos. I am in that mom balancing act of nighttime cuddles, learning to read, and teenage hormones. All the prayers are welcome. ; )

I am the sort of person that uses exclamation points and smiley faces at an entirely inappropriate level. I love coffee, good friends, and laughing. I love quality time with friends and deep conversations. I also like dancing and singing in the kitchen. I am an introvert that loves cozy sweatshirts and cuddling up to a good book. I love Jesus. I love the Word. It’s like an old friend.

I have been a believer for most of my life. I have been a believer most of my life. Even though I have been walking with the Lord for a long time, I will confess that the more I walk with Him, the more I find out how much I don’t actually know and how much I need Him. He has been so patient with me and so faithful.

When I was 36, I was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I am still here because the Lord healed me. I don’t like to say I’m a survivor, but a cancer overcomer! That was without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever had to walk through. I came out of it though, stronger and knowing the Lord and the Word in a completely new way. The Word is very true. It is so powerful. What Jesus did on the cross was way more than I realized. I always thought that the cross was only for salvation. I learned through my journey that it was much more than that.

I am on a journey now to renew my mind and get more anchored in the word. I want to be aligned with scripture and the cross. I want to know all that Jesus paid for and walk in the fullness of it. I want to become more like Jesus everyday. I am such a work in progress but I know that everyday is an opportunity to grow. Every day is a gift. My hope is that this blog would encourage you to draw closer to Jesus. To know Him. To believe Him. To get in the Word and let it transform you. <3
