“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
About a month ago I came upon a random video that was talking about a unique plant. It’s called a Ressurection Plant or a Rose of Jericho. Have you seen it? It was brand new to me.
The plant looked dead and like a dried-up little tumbleweed. Once you put it in some water though, it would completely come back to life in a few hours! I thought to myself, that this is exactly how I feel if I haven’t been with the Lord in a few days. I feel like that little tumbleweed.
When I get into His presence I feel like I come back to life! Being in His presence is everything.
There is no other place like His presence. We are created to be with him and abide in Him.
“There is joy in His presence”
If you are feeling a little “tumbeweedish” (totally a word), sit at His feet today! His mercies are new every morning. Let Him restore your soul and refresh you!
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your presence. Thank you that it is so life-giving and joyful! Thank you that there is such joy and peace in you. Thank you that you set it up this way. You enjoy being with us. Help remind us when we feel a little “tumbleweed-ish” to come sit at your feet. You have everything we need. There is life in your presence. Thank you for restoring our soul and renewing us! You are good and we love you!
